LIVING WITH TERRORISM
SURVIVAL LESSONS FROM THE STREETS OF JERUSALEM
By
HOWARD LINETT

We hear about terrorism in the Middle East on the nightly news. We experienced the nightmare of 911 on U. S. soil. We live under the threat of Osama bin Laden, Al-Qaida, and other terrorist groups promising to attack. What can we do to be prepared?

Living with Terrorism provides a real world step-by-step approach to surviving encounters of the worst kind with facts, tips, photographs on how to plan and to prepare for an attack. As Israeli citizens, Linett and his family deal with the daily terror of living in war zone called the Holy Land. Besides being an ordinary citizen with an every day job, Linett is a Civil Guard sniper and his wife is a first responder for the municipality of Jerusalem. Linett writes from the knowledge that he and his family have gained from living in Israel at “… ground zero of terrorism…” as Linett describes his hometown.

Over the years, situation reports from Howard to me have always been unquestionably accurate. I feel that this is an extremely important book to read to understand how to be prepared to survive an attack whether by a lone gun man/sniper, or by IED’s “improvised explosive devises”, or by an organized terrorist attack. This is the one survival manual everyone should have on their shelf. I would highly recommend this book to law enforcement and military personnel who may be thrown into the terrorists’ theater of operation.
